~ Week 12 ~

I would first like to apologize as I do not know what happened to Lucy from the Week 11 Challenge but have decided it is time to post another challenge!

With Thanksgiving this week, I would like to see your Thanksgiving creation. Show me either something you would use to decorate for Thanksgiving that you created or altered, show me a Thanksgiving card, or a Thanksgiving LO. For this you must use the color brown and at least one stamp.

Have fun creating! I will get mine posted today!

~ Week 11 ~

This week we have another very special surprise! We have a guest designer for this weeks challenge. Please meet, Lucy Chesna. She is a very busy paper/sketch artist. You can check out her work here. You can view her very impressive resume here. Read all about her daily ins and outs here. And finally check out her challenge blog here. Hey, I told you she was super busy. On to the fun stuff. One lucky submission will be featured on Lucy's site with the sketch she has created especially for us. This just in.....Lucy has graciously offered to give a RAK to the winner of her choice!!

~ Week 10 ~

WINNER ANNOUNCED: Thank you Shelly and Linh for participating in this past weeks challenge. Both entries were beautiful, therefore I couldn't choose so I polled an odd (meaning numerical) handful of people to come up with the winner of the prize pack. It was extremely close, but the winner chosen by one vote was Shelly's Butterfly Card.

Ok I told you I was working on something, well I am working on several things, and here is one of them. Thank you all for visiting the site even if you aren't sending in your entries I hope we are inspiring you. We are past 1000 hits and it is Week 10 so this week we are being sponsored by:

For this week I will pick one of the entries to win this lovely prize pack from MM.

This challenge will entail a little bit more since there is a sponsor involved. You must use the sketch below, at least one Making Memories paper and at least one Making Memories embellishment. It can be either a card or LO.

My take on this challenge is a little different this week. I usually take everything so literal so when I sat down with this wonderful paper and embellishments I was surprised it came out different.

Once again Shelly is wowing us with her beautiful creations. I love how the butterflies are coming off the card.

Another beautiful creation from Linh. The pictures are super cute and the title is great!

~ Week 9 ~

Ok, I know it is Tuesday and I am late! However, I am working on something super exciting and was hoping to have it ready for this week. It seems like it won't be so I wanted to throw another challenge out to you. I need some inspiration this week so inspire me with..... your use of embellishments. I want you to use at the very least 5 different embellishments on your item. It can be a LO, card, altered item, etc as long as it has 5 distinctively different embellishments. Now back to that special something I am working on.

The very talented Melita joins us this week and first to boot. You can check out more of Melita at her fantastic site. Look how super cute these speed racers are:

Shelly has such cute cards for this weeks challenge!

Ok I did several but you have to visit my site to see them all. Here is the one I selected to put up here.

~ Week 8 ~

Halloween is the topic once again. Yes, I love Halloween. SO this week I would like to see your:

Halloween Decorations that you have created
They must include black, orange, and/or purple
It must be something you created not just assembled

I am sorry it is late with the posting as I was hoping to finish mine before posting but there were extenuating circumstances that didn't allow for that. I hope to have it posted tomorrow morning. ENJOY!

I know a Santa's Helper that made this BOOtiful creation!

Lisa has created a ton of wonderful items for Halloween and you can check them all out at her blog http://wellhownice.blogspot.com/search/label/halloween. Here are a few:

~ Week 7 ~

This week we are going to use a paper bag! Do anything craft wise you will with a paper bag and let me see your inspiring creation. I decided to do a mini Halloween album. I have not finished it, so this is a teaser and you will get the finished product soon. Enjoy!

Lisa from the DT at Scrap Etc. had done a super cute Halloween paper bag album too! To see more of her album, check our her BLOG!

Shelly had to create this for another challenge recently, but how fitting is this. She created this from the TBBM cartridge for the Cricut machine. TOO CUTE!

~ Week 6 ~

Another Sketch for this week! I can't wait to see your card or LO from the sketch.

My take on the sketch. Yes, I am a bit literal this week. LOL

~ Week 5 ~

Ok this past week and a half has been so crazy busy that I didn't even get to do the last challenge. Here is hoping I can do this one!

Ok for this weeks challenge:

You must not have any clean edges on the project. Whether it be a LO, card, or altered item I want to see you be messy! I know this is a BIG challenge for some because you need to have straight lines, perfect circles, and smooth ribbon. But this week step out of the box and DO IT!

I can't wait to see your little something extra!

We have a new challenge completer this week. Thank you Shelly Bobrowski for completing this challenge. I love the card!

Another new challenge completer!!! I love this card!

~Week 4~

Ok, I know you all have scraps laying around because you just can't throw them away. WELL this week you can use at least 4 different scraps on a project to post here. Show me your best altered item, card, LO, etc that uses at least 4 different scrap papers!!!

I will get mine posted either later this evening or tomorrow! I can't wait to see yours.

Wow this has been such a week that I haven't even gotten mine done. However, Renoa has finished hers and here it is. I just love it! It doesn't even look like scraps. That is the best part!!!

~ Week 3 ~

Photos are ready!

Photobucket

Altered Clipboard2

More people participated this last week and I couldn't be happier! They are all super great designs! I love it.

So, for challenge three I would like to see an altered item. Doesn't have to be a certain item or shape or color, just something that you personally altered. "Email me" the photos and I will get them posted directly to the site. I think this way of doing it might be best.

We just arrived home late last night from being gone all weekend and I don't have my challenge done as of yet, but will get it posted before the end of the night! I can't wait to see yours. Remember you can email it to me anytime throughout the week to be posted. I just ask that you have them all to me by the next Monday. This is quickly becoming a great inspiration site.

Renoa Heartily altered this pen holder and gave it to her friend in a Secret Swap! How fun!!!

Winners and New Challenge!

Ok there were a whopping two entries for the RAK for my new Challenge Blog. I know a lot of you are viewing it so let's see what you are making! Since there were only two I have split the RAK added some to each and will be sending out two Canadian packages this week!

So are you ready for another challenge? I am! This week you have to incorporate some type of animal print in your project whether it be a card, LO, or altered item. Let's see them. Here is mine. I made a get well card for man that needed to include a gift card. No men don't generally like animal print, but this man's wife put a leopard print rug in their home and he doesn't like it so I was tasked with incorporating it! Mean, huh? So I used a strip of fuzzy leopard print ribbon on the front and then another piece on the inside to create the pocket to slip the card in. I can't wait to see yours!

Saturday, August 23, 2008

WOW!

Ok so I really thought there would be more people participating. I suppose since it is the first challenge and school is starting back people just haven't had the time. So I will extend the time frame to work on it until Monday! Come on inspire us all!!!

First Challenge and Blog Candy!

Sketch Challenge:

My Take on the Sketch:

Ok this is my first challenge so I decided that we should do a sketch that I drew. In addition to starting my new challenge site, I thought it would be a great way to start by offering blog candy to go with. I will post a picture of the candy later today. However, let's get started. I did mine as a 12x12 LO saving the space on the top left for a photo. However, I think it would also work real well as a card.

I told you I would get the Blog Candy up later today and here it is! However, if I get more than 15 that complete the challenge I will add some things. If I get more than 30 I will add even more. Stay tuned and get busy!
